Bernie recently participated in CREATE, a cross border project whose aim was to promote peace and reconciliation in Ireland. It was managed by Castlereagh Enterprises Ltd and supported by Louth and Cavan County Enterprise Boards and Glenwood Business Park.

The project was established to support creative individuals from both sides of the border by hosting workshops designed to help participants to network, discuss and share ideas. The programme has helped to equip participants with necessary insight, skills and contacts and to enable them to transform creative talents and energies into employment opportunities. The concept behind this project is to cultivate and nurture the talents of creative people from both sides of the border, and to use the creative industries to foster understanding between people from different cultural identities.

This project culminated in a show case event in May of this year held in the Baby Grand at the Grand Opera House in Belfast. The Details of this project can be found at www.createireland.com.
